Letter to Self

Day 7: Write a letter to yourself telling you what you need to improve in the coming 6 months.

Dear self,

You told yourself you were going to give this writing a good go. Since you were a child you’ve had this niggling craving to put pen to paper, and later, fingers to keyboard. Nothing excites you more than a blank piece of paper, a million ideas flowing through your head.

Now you have the time to write. You’ve quit your full-time job. You’ve injured your knee considerably. Now is this time.

After reading your minor attempts at writing over the past few months, I think there a few key skills you need to work on.

  1. Be a confident writer

  2. Don’t write, unless you have something to write about

  3. Be strategic, know where you are going

3 things in 6 months. I think if you can pull these off your writing will come across much more professional and contrived.

Good luck self. A little bit of time and you’ll get there.
