Progress

I started this blog exactly 2 months ago and one of the hardest things I've found about writing, is finding the time to write!
I guess because the activity isn't bringing any money, and I have no obligation or deadline, I just keep putting it off. The kids go to bed and I tend to just migrate to bed myself.
Since my first blog posts I've ruptured my Anterior Cruciate Ligament and have been fairly immobile over the Christmas period, but I've also begun my first writing course Magazine and Newspaper Writing Stage 1, from the Australia Writer's Centre. Even though I can't move so much, I've still been incredibly busy with end of year activities, and I started a new job in November which means I'm not as bored as I used to be.
Despite all this, I do have the time to write, I'm just not choosing to do so! So this blog post is a reminder to commit more hours to sitting at my computer. Because you don't make progress without the hours.
Hopefully soon I'll be getting some surgery done on my knee and I intend on writing a few practice articles in that time. I've got a month left of my writing course so I'll be all ready to go!
